Bio

Benjamin Kola Olajide - Newsong, is a worship leader, songwriter, instrumentalist and music teacher. He was privileged to be born into a devout Christian family.
His dad was a chorister in the Anglican Church where he sang tenor and also played the organ. Ben joined the choir at a very early age of 10 and sang with his elder sister and father in the same choir. Mum raised Ben to be committed, prayerful, and to live for God.

His love for music began thence, and he continued to pursue and develop himself in the ministry. He has been part of many choir and singing groups; playing the bass, keyboard and singing to the Lord.

The first of his singles was released on January 2022, title "My Worship". This single release is part of "The Awakening Singles" project.
This song was born out of an incident that marked a turning point in his life after God saved him from an accident that could have been fatal.
God brought him back to life after being unconscious for 4 days from the day of the accident on December 1, 2015.
"It is true that the life I live is due to the mercies of God and the only worthy worship I can give to God is myself!"

Ben Kola Olajide, Newsong, is the convener of "RESONANCE", a live worship gathering aimed at reawakening the fire of true worship and devotion to God Almighty.
